Dr. Sandeep. S joined us on 03-01-2023 in the Department of Nephrology. He graduated from JJM Medical College,
Davangere in the year 2000. With a keen interest in research, he pursued
masters in Human Genetics from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai in the year
2003. He then joined the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MRDF), Chennai
and continued his research in the molecular genetic aspects of type 2 diabetes
under the guidance of Padma Shri Dr V Mohan. In 2004, he was selected for
Post-Doctoral Fellowship training at the University of Texas South-Western
Medical Centre, Dallas, where he was involved in research projects related to
insulin resistance, obesity and diabetes susceptibility in migrant South
Asians.
In 2008, after completion of his research fellowship in Diabetology at MDRF, he
joined Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Kochi for residency in General
Medicine, and went on to complete residency in Nephrology in 2015. He then
joined as a faculty at the department of Nephrology, as assistant professor and
he was promoted as Associate Professor in Nephrology in 2021. Dr Sandeep joined
Malabar Medical College & Research Centre in the year 2023 where he
serves as a senior consultant Nephrologist and renal transplant physician and
is actively involved in patient care, teaching, research and public outreach activities. Read more.......
