(Prof.) Dr. Bhaskaran Chalil known as doyen of General Medicine is a senior retired Professor from Government Medical College,Calicut. He earned MBBS degree from prestigious Calicut Medical College in the year 1981 and MD in General Medicine from Calicut Medical College. His career started as a Tutor in Dept.of General Medicine and retired as Professor from government service. Later he joined Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi and worked for for 3 years. He headed diabetic clinic at Calicut Medical College and Geriatric Clinic at Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi. He joined Malabar Medical College and Research Center, Calicut since 2013 and currently is the Professor and Head of the Department of General Medicine.
